I really love Diane Strong's work, and this is one of my favorites. There are several short stories in this book, each with a different kind of suspense and tension. But they are all united under one common aspect: a runner sets out down the road and has to endure some terrifying, traumatic episode...a challenge to survive--both literally and mentally. It may be a crazed drug addict, a repressed sexual desire or even a paranoia from within. Fast-paced and set in the real world, the character development is easy to relate to. Once you start, you can't stop reading! Highly recommended.Product details

I really enjoyed these well written short stories. They are written in a simple and easy to read style and they build up the suspense nicely!
Six short stories that move at a frantic pace, exciting individually, more so as a collection of suspense thrillers, my favorite is The Run. I have read it 4 times.
You will not want to put this book down. Diane Strong is a great story teller with a vivid imagination. If you're a runner you will love them, if you are the family of a runner it will make you think.
Buy it, you will not be sorry!
