Absolutely love this too sweet story. Cole and Catherine are from the opposite side town. Catherine is eighteen trying to make it to her graduation date. She has been living on her own since she was sixteen and her father disappeared. Cole is the town sheriff working his damndest to make his town safe for all who live there. With an impending storm one of his last details of the day is to check on a house that has recently been boarded up for foreclosure. Upon checking the residence that when he sees a young woman laying covered in snow. When he gets her in his arms his world shifts. He knows that this little bit of woman is meant to be his, and the way that she snuggles up to him just makes everything feel right.

The connection and chemistry between these two is off the charts. I love how protective and loving Cole is with Catherine. The way that he gives her everything that she has always wanted. The supporting characters are just as entertaining. Love everything about this story. As always AR delivered.

I know I say this about all of Alexa Riley's books but out of their shorter stories this one was one of my favorites. I loved loved loved Cole and Catherine. Catherine was so headstrong, fighting to stay afloat when she had no one to lean on. While she had to do things she was not proud of, she did it to survive. While Cole was simply living, and did not become alive until he rescued Catherine. They needed each other so much, and I loved how Catherine made him lose the cool he was known for. This story was so cute, and had me smiling the whole time I was reading it. I have already reread it more than 5 times and it has not been out that long.
While I've seen many people get upset over the fact that the girl was still in high school, at least she was 18.

Keeping her Warm is a short, sweet, and comforting read...well at least for me it was.
I absolutely loved reading this book. I loved how Cole was protective of his woman just from the first touch. Even if he doesn't know that she's to he his woman.

Catherine is a sweet woman. She does what she needs to do to take care of herself. After her father abandoned her she still finds ways to take care of herself.

I'm hoping AR keeps up on the roll! I'm glad they aren't in their "funk" anymore.
I think I have a new favorite AR book. This book had everything I love about a Alexa Riley book.

The Sheriff and the young beautiful homeless girl. Catherine is down on her luck and doing her best after her father skipped town. During the first few chapters things go from bad to worse to freezing and horrible. Never fear our sexy strong scarred alpha male of a sheriff comes to her rescue. We get to "watch" these two fall into instalove with each other and it is a beautiful thing.

If you haven't read anything from Alexa Riley before and you love instalove/OTT alphas, look no further than this book.

This would also make a my great lunch hour read.
Catherine just turned 18 years old, alone in the world trying to survive without parents and homeless. She was having it rough at school with kids constantly making fun of her and doing everything to make her life a living hell. But all of that does not deter her from trying to finish school and finding means and ways to survive the misery of her life. And then her luck turned around when she least expected it, when she lost all hope of surviving, she was found and saved by Cole, the town's sheriff. She has been smitten by him from a far and has been doing everything in her power to stay as far from him as possible to avoid being made a ward of the state.

Cole saw her lying in the cold, nearly frozen and took her home with him to keep her warm and safe. But he was not prepared for the emotions that surfaced within him from being near her and was not sure how to deal with them without scaring her. When she finally open her eyes and looked at him, he knew she will be his forever.
Keeping Her Warm is a deliciously sexy quick read that is also sweet and swoon worthy. Plus, you get to check off all those wonderful traits we love in an AR book. We've got an ex-Ranger turned town Sheriff who is full of love and comfort yet alpha enough to growl. We've also got the young virgin that is dying for love and affection.

From the moment we meet Cole, he's the warmth that we all seek. All he wants is to make Catherine his and to make sure that she is protected, loved and safe. Who wouldn't want that? He makes you swoon with his sweetness and smile at his growly protectiveness. He's probably one of my top AR alphas.

I love how neither one of them think twice about the age gap at the end of the day. All they care about is being with each other and it doesn't matter what anyone thinks.

If you are looking for a steamy hot quick read with a protective alpha and the virgin who deserves his love and protection, then Keeping Her Warm is the book for you!
I didn't realize the girl was still in high school when I bought this. I'm too old for the virgin thing to be attractive. I couldn't get over the 28 year old sheriff hooking up with a homeless high school kid.
4.5 stars.

Loved this short story. It was just what I needed right now. These characters refused to let go of me yesterday. I had started it on my break, kept thinking about them until lunch, and rushed home to finish it before doing 'Saturday stuff'.

There were a couple of small things that I couldn't get passed, don't know if these would really count as spoilers but be warned they might be. First, I don't think Catherine's home would be foreclosed on after only a month of not being able to pay the mortgage, having seen people go through that, it usually takes a lot more missed payments and many years. And the second issue, is that there shouldn't be an issue with Catherine showering at the school. I knew of a couple of people in high school who had to shower at the school and they didn't have a gym class or after school activity. It's worrying in the sense that there may be something going on in the students life where they can't shower at home and that needs to be looked into but not to be punished.

Other than those two things, this book would not let me go and I loved it so much.
